According to an email from Al Zollar , General Manager, Tivoli Software, IBM Software Group , IBM recently published the winners of its 2010 Corporate Awards, and I am pleased to announce that our X-Force team has earned this prestigious recognition.
These awards are given to teams and individuals for technical accomplishments that have delivered significant business value to IBM. The X-Force team, an industry leader in security research and education, is being recognized for its contribution not only to IBM's portfolio, but to an entire industry. From chip design to new vulnerability detection in browser traffic, they have contributed to more than 100 patents since being acquired in 2007.
Our clients rely upon X-Force for advanced "ahead-of-the-threat" research and innovation that gives them insight into the shifting security landscape. Clients then benefit from X-Force capabilities embedded in our security products that protect their critical infrastructure.
Please join me congratulating our colleagues on their exceptional work: Thomas Cross, David Dennerline, David Dewey, Robert Freeman, Daniel Hanley, David Means, Scott Moore, Terry Nelms, John Pierce, Curtis Smith and Neal Towey.
Regards,
General Manager, Tivoli Software
IBM Software Group
