ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (July 26, 2010) Three executives from Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], have been selected among the top women of the channel by Everything Channels CRN Magazine.
CRN's annual list recognizes female executives across the information technology distribution channel for their accomplishments over the past year and the far-reaching impact they are having on the technology industry going forward. This years Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN magazine based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel.
Nancy Gapter, vice president of North American marketing for Arrow ECS, has been named to CRNs Power 100 Women in the Channel. Dee Dee Lear, vice president of sales for the West region of Arrow ECS' IBM group, and Mary Beth Edwards, director of inside sales for Arrow ECS' HP group, were named to the magazine's Top Women of the Channel list.

"It has been a pleasure working with these executives. They demonstrate outstanding leadership, and bring tremendous experience and skills, to their important roles at Arrow ECS."
In the past year, Gapter has launched a new corporate marketing organization, website, streamlined approach to communication with resellers and how Arrow ECS assists resellers with marketing, business intelligence initiative and relationship-building initiatives targeting suppliers in Arrows North American ECS organization. In addition, she managed the launch of the Arrow Fusionâ„ professional services business unit.
In 2009, Lear led Arrow ECS IBM brand organization and worked collaboratively with IBM to update and modernize channel programs for the benefit of Arrow ECS resellers. In Summer 2009, she moved to a new position and had an integral role in positioning Arrow ECS IBM resellers and IBM team in the West region for growth in 2010. She has worked with Arrow ECS' IBM team to drive a results-oriented discipline and culture.
Edwards is noted for having an integral role in completing the migration of Arrow's North American ECS operations to Oracle in the past year. Later last year, she transitioned to a new role, where she so far has deployed Oracle's Opportunity Management tool to better manage Arrow ECS' pipeline and sales forecasts in the distributor's HP group and has worked with the Arrow ECS HP team to re-align staff to improve the customer experience for resellers.
