Attention Arrow Authorized Software Partners Software Value Plus and SVI Certification Checks start in August Are You Ready?

Software Value Plus includes certifications and revalidation. In August 2010, IBM will review Authorized IBM Business Partner certifications. And, in February 2011, IBM will begin checking for 2010 Value Revenue Percentage compliance. Please take the necessary measures to ensure you do not lose your authorizations.

Certification checks begin in August

Certifications are checked by Product Group. Remember, that equates to two technical certifications, and one product certification per authorized Product Group.

If one or more of the certifications for a Product Group has expired as of August 1, then:

1. SVI authorization for that Product Group will be immediately revoked, and you may no longer submit opportunities under SVI for that Product Group.
2. Software Value Plus requires that you put the necessary certifications in place for that Product Group by October 31, 2010.
3. Software Value Plus Business Partners, who previously qualified for the Early Readiness promotion for that Product Group, will have until January 1, 2011 to put the certifications in place.

Use the Authorization Readiness Dashboard to confirm certification status, and visit the IBM Professional Certification site to access your certification history, request certificates, and get certification marks. Prepare now for 2010 revenue checks beginning February 2011
Value Add Revenue is approved SVI and/or VAP transaction revenue for the authorized Product Groups. IBM determines if Business Partners meet or exceed the minimum Value Revenue percentage of Total Revenue by Reseller Authorization Group.

For each Reseller Authorization group, 10% of Total Revenue (Net New Licenses + Renewals) must be approved through SVI and/or VAP. Some waivers may apply (access the Operations Guide for details).

We strongly encourage you to submit your SVI claims in order to meet the Value Revenue Percentage Revalidation beginning in February 2011.
