This session describes the 5.1.5 enhancements to the DS8700 including, the z/OS Distributed Data Backup feature and the Full Disk Encrypting drives that are now FIPS 140-2 certified for higher level security.

More Value Package Options for Arrow Partners

Cognos, FileNet, InfoSphere and Optim products now available through Value Package and Software Access Option Software

Effective June 15, 2010, Software ValueNet downloads, which include Cognos, FileNet, InfoSphere and Optim, are available to all IBM Business Partners entitled to the Software Access Catalog either through the purchase of a Value Package or Software Access Option. Support for these products is also available to those with a Value Package. This change makes it easy for Business Partners to expand their capabilities to include the Software ValueNet portfolio.

IBM Software Value Incentive (SVI)  Enhancement

Effective June 17, 2010 IBM is announcing enhancements for Business Partners who are approved to resell Software ValueNet (SWVN) portfolios.   Business Partners  will now receive the Software Value Incentive (SVI) fee when they are the fulfillment Business Partner of SWVN portfolios on an order OR when the order is fulfilled by IBM or another Business Partner.

Previously the SVI fee was only paid when the SVI opportunity was fulfilled by the IBM Direct Sales Team. All other requirements remain the same.

This change will be effective with all sales orders dated June 17, 2010 or later.  Business Partners will be able to get more information on the Software Value Incentive website.
