Announcing Value Recognition for SVI!
In an effort to reward IBM Software Business Partners who provide value in IBM software sales, effective May 15, 2010, IBM is changing the special bid process for North America IBM Software Business Partners.All qualifying IBM Business Partners have access to standard volume discounts in Passport Advantage. However, if a special bid is requested by the customer, it will be made available only to qualifying Business Partners who meet criteria for special bids and it is possible that only one partner on a bid can qualify for special bid discounting.
Which Business Partners qualify for special bids?
- Must be enrolled in the SVI (Software Value Incentive)
- Must be enrolled in PartnerWorld for Software
- Must be enrolled in the fulfillment program associated with the products at hand – Software Value Program or Software Value Net Program
All Business Partners who have been approved for ID and SELL on a GB opportunity (as defined by IBM) can qualify for a special bid. Conversely, Business Partners who request special bids and have not been approved for ID and SELL may or may not receive the requested special bid.
