The IBM Retail Executive Briefing & Innovation Center in RTP, NC is now offering DirectPresence video conference capability.
With our limited travel and expense budgets, many of you that would have liked to bring in a customer to the Raleigh briefing center but could not, now have a new option to have an almost face to face live conference experience with the RSS experts in Raleigh. Read below for more details.
The Raleigh center has recently augmented their in-house briefing capabilities with Webinars & Web briefings and we have seen a great deal of success with the program. Now, the Raleigh center is also offering remote briefings using IBM DirectPresence to allow your clients to speak face-to-face with RTP executives & subject matter experts.
What is it?
DirectPresence uses Cisco TelePresence technology which combines high-quality audio, high-definition video and interactive elements to deliver an in-person meeting experience over the IBM Power 9 network.
Where is it?
DirectPresence rooms are now available in the following locations: Bangalore, Boulder, Hawthorne, Hortolândia, La Gaude, Raleigh (RTP), Singapore, Somers, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto. We can also use a B2B connection to connect the Raleigh (RTP) location with non-IBM Telepresence locations.
What is the process?
The RTP briefing center staff will work with you to identify and reserve the needed DirectPresence rooms, plan an appropriate agenda, and line up the needed speakers. As the briefing requestor, you will have responsibility to work with us on those plans but also to facilitate any on-site requirements (seating plans, catering, etc.).
Testimonial
Our experience to date with using DirectPresence for customer briefings has been very positive. Adam Moncrieff (IBM POS & Self-Service Sales Specialist) states, "My clients found this was just as good as being there in person and we are moving forward on some self service projects."
Please contact Carrie Johnson (carriejj@us.ibm.com) if you would like to schedule a retail client briefing using this exciting new technology!!
